NWR Railway Apprentice 2025: NORTH WESTERN RAILWAY, Railway Recruitment Cell is a centralized Engagement of Apprentices Notice No. 04/2025 (NWR/AA) for the engagement of Act Apprentices to be trained in designated trades at various Workshops/Units under the North Western Railway (NWR). The Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC/NWR), is the nodal agency for handling online applications and preparing the merit list.

NWR Railway Apprentice 2025 Educational Qualification

To be eligible, a candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. Additionally, they must possess a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade, issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)/State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).

NWR Railway Apprentice 2025 Age Limit

Candidates must have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as of 02.11.2025. Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• OBC candidates: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• Ex-servicemen: Up to an additional 10 years, along with 3 years, provided they have served a minimum of six months continuously in the Defence Forces.

• DRM Office, Ajmer: Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, Mason, Pipe Fitter, Fitter, Diesel Mechanic.
• DRM Office, Bikaner: Fitter, Electrician, Welder.
• DRM Office, Jaipur: Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician.
• DRM Office, Jodhpur: Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Stenographer, Cabin/Room Attendant, House Keeper, Electrician, Mechanic, Fitter.
• B.T.C. Carriage, Ajmer:
• Painter, Fitter, Welder, Electrician.
• B.T.C. LOCO, Ajmer:
• DSL Mechanic, Fitter, Welder.
• Carriage Workshop Bikaner: Fitter, Welder, Electrician.
• Carriage Workshop Jodhpur: Fitter, Carpenter, Welder, Painter, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Machinist.

NWR Railway Apprentice 2025 Selection Process

The selection is based on a merit list, which is a simple average of the percentage of marks obtained in both matriculation and ITI.

• Merit List: The list is prepared division/unit-wise, trade-wise, and community-wise.
• Document Verification: Candidates who are finally enlisted will undergo verification of their original testimonials.
• Medical Examination: A medical examination will also be conducted.

NWR Railway Apprentice 2025 Application Process

• How to Apply: You must apply ONLINE only through the RRC Jaipur website, www.rrcjaipur.in. You can only apply for one unit, and multiple applications will be summarily rejected.
• Required Documents: You need to upload a scanned color photograph and a scanned signature. At the time of document verification, you must produce original documents, including your Aadhaar card.
• Application Fee: The non-refundable application fee is ₹100/- for all candidates. However, the fee is waived for SC/ST, PwBD, and women candidates.

• Monthly Stipend & Practical Experience: The training period and stipend will be as per the rules and directives of the Railway Board. The apprenticeship training is intended to impart practical experience in the designated trades.
• Future Advantage: The notification explicitly states that the training will not guarantee any right to employment in the Railway after its completion.

• Future Advantage: Railway East Central Railway Apprentices who complete the program are given priority in future Group D (Level-1) recruitments in the railways.
